What is the Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society?


 The Nanaimo Ballroom Dance Society (NBDS) is a non-profit making society, run by volunteers, with the following aims and objectives:


        To develop and promote interest in ballroom dancing.

        To organize social and competitive dancing events and activities.

        To encourage dancers and members of the community to participate in dancing.

        To foster better understanding and friendship within the community and between dancers.


The Society hosts regular social dances each month throughout the year in Nanaimo and Nanoose, an annual Dance Fest and a dance camp during the summer, and the annual Island Fantasy Ball.
